I wanted to capture the in-between spaces where nature and my city meet. This was the first project that I shot in RAW, and the benefits when editing were helpful to push the colors to the extent I did. It also made it easier to recover detail in shadows and highlights that may have been lost. The warmth of the red-orange contrasted with the cool blues and greens reflect how I feel about the grit and beauty of Portland.
